Commercial Waste Collection

We all have a duty to ensure that we dispose of any waste we create in an appropriate and legal manner. For household waste Purbeck District Council offer an alternate weekly collection of refuse and recycling, however at present we are unable to provide a free collection for businesses. All businesses have a duty to ensure that this waste is safely contained, and passed on to be disposed of in the correct manner. To find out where your nearest commercial waste disposal facility is, or for a list of registered waste carriers then contact the Environment Agency on 08708 506 506.

Illegally disposing of waste, either from domestic or commercial premises causes local authorities problems as it can often be a hazard to people, animals and the local environment. Fly-tipping looks unsightly and undermines legitimate waste management activities, but ultimately it costs the tax payers in money and time.
