Believe it or not up to 30% of what
goes into the dustbin can be composted down to make a useful soil
improver. You will be surprised at how the compost heap reduces
over a period of time. This is a much better option than
putting green waste into a landfill site.
To help you get composting the Council,
as a member of the Dorset Reduction and Recycling Group, is working
in partnership with WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) to
promote a Home Composting Scheme.
Home Composting Bins - new compost bin
offers to follow in the New Year.
