How does this
service work?
Our case worker will visit you at home to
discuss your needs and help find the right solution for you. If you
want to we will help you decide exactly what work should be done
and prepare drawings and schedules of work. We will obtain prices
and advise you on reliable contractors and inspect the work as it
is done.
How do I pay for the cost of the
works?
We can help you get information on the
different ways of paying for the works. Some clients receive a
grant and we can advise you on what you are entitled to. We can
also advise you on help available from income support and other
social security benefits.
Housing options for older
people:
If staying put is not an option, or
you are considering moving, our housing options case worker can
provide help and support throughout the process of moving so you
can reach a decision that best suits you. This may include
moving in with family or friends, retirement or sheltered housing
schemes, extra care retirement or sheltered housing, residential or
nursing care.
