Purbeck District Local Plan Final Edition
The Purbeck District Local Plan: Final Edition sets out
policies and proposals to guide development in Purbeck District up
to 2011 and beyond. These include general tests of whether a
development proposal is likely to be permitted, as well as specific
proposals for certain sites. These policies and proposals aim to
meet the needs for housing, jobs and services, whilst protecting
the District´s high quality environment.
The Council was not able to formally adopt the Plan. The
reasons for this are set out in Chapter 1 of the Plan (paragraphs
1.1.4-1.4.11).
Hard copies of the Plan cost £35 (incl. p&p). If you
require a hard copy of the Plan then please send a cheque made
payable to Purbeck District Council, Westport House, Worgret Road,
Wareham, Dorset, BH20 4PP marked for the attention of Lida
Mutton.

policies which apply to the area you are interested in. In
