About Purbeck Heritage

Purbeck Heritage was created in response to the challenge to maintain Purbeck as a healthy and thriving environment which can be enjoyed by both residents and visitors in centuries to come.
 
Logo: Purbeck Heritage CommitteeThe Purbeck Heritage Committee was formed in 1993 and brings together representatives from conservation, tourism, local authorities and landowners. The membership of the Committee includes Country Land and Business Association, Natural England, National Trust, National Farmers Union, Dorset Association of Parish and Town Councils, local Town Partnerships, and Dorset County and Purbeck District Councils.
 
Some of the many projects which have been achieved in partnership with other organisations include:
 
A full list of projects that have been achieved by the Committee between 2002 and 2009 is included in our strategy, which also contains our action plan for the next 5 years (up until 2014).
